ASDM Conference Scholarship

ASDM is proud to sponsor $250 scholarships for the annual ASDM Conference September 23-25. This year it is hosted by the Dakotaland Museum at the Crossroads Hotel in Huron, SD. 

Award Information

• A maximum of $250 to be paid in two installments

• Conference registration paid for
• Scholarship winner is given a One-year individual membership to ASDM

Eligibility

• Student: any student at a South Dakota institution of higher education who is interested in becoming a museum professional.
• Emerging Young Professional (EMP): newly employed up to and including 5 years of employment at a South Dakota museum, historic site, zoo, etc. Either the EMP’s employer is a member of ASDM, or the EMP is an individual member.
• Mid-Career Professional (MCP): 6-10 years employment at a South Dakota museum, historic site, zoo, etc. Either the MCP’s employer is a member of ASDM, or the MCP is an individual member.
• Speaker: anyone who is a speaker is eligible to apply.

Application requirements

• Completed application form
• 500-word maximum essay addressing the following

• Resume or curriculum vitae (2-page limit)
•   Applications due September 9th at 11:59pm (DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SEPT. 13)
