Inaugural Gowns

Dress Historian/Researcher is pursuing research in the recent and historic First Ladies of South Dakota and other women engaged in the political realm.  This scholar seeks to research extant Inaugural Gowns, accessories, and any pertinent information relating to the wearer.  Researcher is also interested in Gowns that were worn by other women in politics at inaugurations or as activists.  Please contact Professor Leon Wiebers at leon.wiebers@lmu.edu  Wiebers is a native of Centerville, SD and an Augustana Alumnus who currently teaches at Loyola Marymount University and is a Fulbright Scholar.
